At the core of the project is a backcross with NYC Diesel from Soma Seeds—a strain that dominated competitions and headlines in the 2000s with its unmistakable flavor and energetic effect. We are grateful to Soma for entrusting us with his regular NYC Diesel genetics and making this work possible.
To introduce stable autoflowering traits, we used interline breeding, crossing two distinct Diesel Ryder F3 lines, L1 and L2, derived from the same parents. The resulting generation delivers a reported 25% improvement in key characteristics over its predecessors without losing its old-school character.
Diesel Ryder BX is available as both feminized seeds and regular seeds, giving growers greater choice and control.
Plants grown from Diesel Ryder BX regular seeds remain true to the variety’s roots: fast-flowering, compact, stocky, and potent. Indoor plants typically finish at just 50–60 cm, making them suitable for micro-grows, discreet setups, balconies, and compact tents.
The plant develops a thick, dominant central cola with minimal side branching and completes its cycle in approximately 9–10 weeks from seed. Its open structure supports airflow and helps reduce the risk of mold in humid climates and growing environments. The variety requires little maintenance and is approachable for beginners.
The aroma is powerful and unmistakable, combining sharp diesel and citrus peel with an earthy foundation. It is rich, complex, and seriously pungent, so effective odor control is recommended indoors.
