Lowryder Launched a New Era
Lowryder feminized autoflower seeds carry forward the legacy of the legendary original Lowryder. Created by Sasha Joint Doctor, it opened a new chapter in cannabis breeding: the Era of Autoflowers.
Lowryder #2 followed as the successor to the Joint Doctor’s original Lowryder. This version combined the original genetics with Santa Maria, an Indica/Sativa hybrid from Brazil. Santa Maria was known for abundant resin production, exotic flavor, and soaring effects.
Later, we decided that a true legend no longer needed a number. As a result, Lowryder #2 became Lowryder IBL—the name used for the strain today. IBL stands for “inbred line” and reflects the work done to preserve its defining genetic traits.
In 2010, High Times included Lowryder #2 among its Top 10 Canadian Strains. The strain is now known as Lowryder IBL.
Today, Lowryder IBL is available in both feminized and regular varieties.

After approximately 65 days from seed, it produces large, dense buds with a distinctive bittersweet scent. The aroma is richer than that of the original Lowryder. Moreover, the plant requires neither a separate flowering room nor a change in the light cycle.
Outdoors, Lowryder IBL matures faster than photoperiod varieties and performs well in harsh, cooler climates. Therefore, it has become particularly popular among growers in northern regions.
