Freaky Ryder regular seeds are the first release from our Be a Breeder program—a truly unusual autoflowering strain created in collaboration with mutantfarmer. Freaky Ryder made its debut at Mary Jane 2025 in Berlin.

Welcome to the Freakshow

The original Freakshow breeder is Shapeshifter. The mutation was discovered by chance in a cross between Pineapple Express as the female and Holy Chiquita—also known as Holy Banana—as the male. It was later stabilized through selection.

To create Freaky Ryder, mutantfarmer used genetics from two Canadian breeders: Freakshow F9 from 7East Genetics, sourced directly from Shapeshifter, and the world’s first autoflower, Lowryder IBL from Doctor’s Choice.

After several test cycles, an outstanding female was selected for its sweet floral-pine aroma, dense buds, and narrow-fingered Freakshow leaves.

“In the second generation of approximately 350 plants, I selected the two best autoflowering specimens with ideal Freakshow structure, proper bud formation, and resistance to mold, pests, and stress. I used them to stabilize the hybrid and produce these F5 seeds, which I’m proud to share with the community.”

The Signature Freakshow Leaf Mutation

Freaky Ryder carries the signature Freakshow leaf mutation, also known as the pinnate or fern-leaf mutation. Its narrow, deeply divided leaves resemble the foliage of a fern rather than conventional cannabis leaves.

This F5 hybrid has been stabilized for leaf shape, aroma, trichome production, and plant structure, although some variation between plants may remain.

Expect compact, medium-height plants with a dominant central cola, dense rounded buds, and a rich floral-pine aroma with gassy, citrus, and pepper notes. The plants are resilient to stress and mold. The balanced effect combines a cerebral high with comfortable physical relaxation.

Regular Autoflower Seeds for Collectors

Freaky Ryder regular seeds are particularly suitable for breeders, collectors, stealth growers, and enthusiasts interested in unusual plant forms. The fern-like foliage makes the plants less immediately recognizable than conventional cannabis varieties, making them suitable for low-profile setups and small private terraces.
