Fern-leaf mutation
Freakshow Cannabis Seeds
Freakshow began with a rare leaf mutation stabilized in California by breeder Shapeshifter, then made its public debut at the Emerald Cup in 2019. Explore its fern-like leaf trait in autoflowering and fast-flowering regular lines.

Australian Bastard Cannabis
Australian Bastard Cannabis Seeds (ABC)
Australian Bastard Cannabis traces back to New South Wales in the 1970s or 1980s, where it was known as Bindi Bud or Mutant. Explore its small, smooth leaves and shrub-like growth in autoflowering and fast-flowering, feminized and regular lines.

Freakshow F9 × Lowryder IBL / F6
Freaky Ryder
Freaky Ryder brings the fern-like Freakshow mutation into a compact autoflower that finishes in approximately 75 days from seed. Beneath the unusual foliage, it forms dense, rounded buds with floral-pine, gas, citrus and pepper notes.
Available as regular seeds, Freaky Ryder offers the Freakshow look in an autoflower and access to male F6 genetics for breeding.

Drunken Bastard × Lowryder IBL / F6
Bastard Ryder
Bastard Ryder combines the small, glossy leaves of Australian Bastard Cannabis with a compact autoflowering structure and an approximately 70–75-day cycle. It develops dense flowers with berry, fruit and sour notes plus occasional garlic funk.
Choose feminized seeds for a female grow without sexing, or regular seeds for access to both female and male F6 ABC autoflower genetics.
Doctor’s Choice × mutantfarmer
Breeding Freakshow and ABC Autoflowers
mutantfarmer crossed Freakshow and ABC genetics with Lowryder and screened more than 350 seeds per line for rare autoflowering mutants. He stabilized both selections through F5 as Freaky Ryder and Bastard Ryder; Doctor’s Choice advanced them to F6.

Double-recessive selection
Why Mutant Autoflower Seeds Require Mass Selection
Autoflowering is recessive. The ABC mutation is also recessive, while fern-leaf expression largely behaves the same way in these crosses. The target plant must inherit both the mutant leaf structure and flowering by age rather than by light cycle.

Mutant Cannabis Seed FAQs
What are mutant cannabis seeds?
Mutant cannabis seeds carry inherited traits that alter visible plant morphology. This collection focuses on two leaf mutations: the pinnate, fern-like foliage associated with Freakshow and the small, smooth leaflets of Australian Bastard Cannabis.
What is Freakshow cannabis?
Freakshow is a cannabis line with a pinnate leaf mutation developed by Shapeshifter. Instead of conventional fan leaves, its leaves are deeply divided and resemble fern foliage. Freaky Ryder combines Freakshow F9 genetics with Lowryder IBL.
What is Australian Bastard Cannabis (ABC)?
Australian Bastard Cannabis, or ABC, is a rare Cannabis sativa mutation associated with small, smooth and glossy leaflets and dense shrub-like growth. Bastard Ryder combines stabilized Drunken Bastard genetics with Lowryder IBL.
Is Freaky Ryder the same strain as Freakshow?
No. Freaky Ryder is an F6 regular autoflower created from Freakshow F9 × Lowryder IBL. It retains the Freakshow-derived leaf form while adding Lowryder autoflowering and an approximately 75-day cycle.
What is the difference between Freakshow and ABC leaves?
Freakshow produces narrow, deeply divided pinnate leaves. ABC produces much smaller, smooth leaflets without the usual cannabis serration. Freakshow resembles a fern; ABC resembles a compact ornamental shrub.
Which mutant strains are autoflowering?
Freaky Ryder and both versions of Bastard Ryder are autoflowering. Freaky Fast F1 BX, Freaky Dankenstein, Fastberry Bastard and Fast Crazy Bastard are fast-flowering photoperiod lines rather than autoflowers.
Is Bastard Ryder the same as original ABC?
No. Bastard Ryder is an F6 autoflower created from Drunken Bastard × Lowryder IBL. It retains the stabilized ABC leaf while shortening the parent line’s long flowering cycle to approximately 70–75 days.
Are the mutant seeds feminized or regular?
Freaky Ryder is available as regular seeds. Bastard Ryder is available as feminized or regular seeds. The regular versions provide access to male plants for breeding; the feminized Bastard Ryder is intended for growers who want a female run without sexing.
Why are mutant autoflowers difficult to breed?
The breeder must combine the recessive autoflowering trait with a recessive or largely recessive leaf mutation. In mutantfarmer’s selections, fewer than 2% of the Freakshow population and fewer than 5% of the ABC population expressed both autoflowering and the target mutation.
